AFAMAC beginnings

It's was in 1979 on the Paul RICARD circuit, in Le Castellet,

AFAMAC began very closed to Marseille on the french mediterranean coast.This flat and elongated track was around 3.610 miles and designed with lot of inovations in term of security, (of course for the 70's.) This circuit welcomed lot of GP races for the "Grand Prix de France", the 24H endurance race called the "Bol d'Or".

Philippe, Patrick, Fifre proud "coyotes"members prepared their bikes, Matchless G80, AJS 18S, BSA Goldstars 350 and 500 to ride on this famous track ! It was the time were tanks were homemade in fiber glass, when the bike stands were under woods, and the vans very old style: the rock n'roll...





The first classic bike races AFAMAC started at the end of the 70's and orginal bikes attended those meetings, the replica's were not existing. Good sounds and noises, ricin oil smell, K81 tires, Cromwell and Lewis Leathers were the only equipements.

It was the first lines of the Coyote Racing Team members ....
