The late '90s GSXRs had an aerodynamcially shaped tail section, but the new R1 came out that had the slashed tail that looked SOOOOO aerodynamic to people and that killed the aerodynamic tail sections for modern sport bikes at production level.
One of the problems wit the fairings set up for all out frontal aerodynamics is the side wind curse. That is one of the things that guys like Craig Schultz (the 3rd bike in 1st post) are trying to over come. I've got a guy that is going to do some work with me for aero fairings when I get to that point. It will be interesting to see how to work some of the true aero concepts with actual sportbike riding. I really want to just build one on pure function and the hell to how it actually looks.
