Fiat Yamaha's Valentino Rossi was happy with the result in first practice session at Motegi circuit in Japan. Rossi's M1 bike was running faster than Casey Stoner's Ducati on Friday. Rossi's joy is overwhelming after Stoner’s dominance in Qatar. It doesn’t tell the whole story for the Polini Grand Prix of Japan though. "This is a very good start because we’re at the top and this is very important," the Italian emphasised. "It’s important to be in front, even though it’s only Friday, because in Qatar we were second, second, second in every session and we don’t really like second so much; for sure first is much better!"
